MANUKAU COUNTY COUNCIL.

Proposed Wharf.

At Kawa Kawa Bay.

In accordance with instructions Mr F. Goodman submitted to the Manukau County Council on Tuesday last, for its consideration, the following estimates respecting the proposed wharf for Kawa Kawa Bay, viz.: For the erection of a wharf 1000 ft long £990, £3O for a shed of battened timber, and £4O for hardwood rails for a truck. He also computed the cost for making an approach to the proposed wharf at £l6O. By using suitable timber from the old Panmure bridge, Mr Goodman suggested that £l5O could be saved. He was prepared to do the work for the amounts estimated. The matter was deferred until the next meeting of the Council, and it was decided to forward estimates on to Mr VV. Cashmore to place before the settlers at Kawa Kawa Bay with a view of enabling them to raise a loan for the proposed work.
