STOCK SALE REPORTS.
The N.Z. Loan and M.A. Coy. report as follows: At Pukekohe on Monday we held a fpecial dairy sale. There was a large yarding, and prices were high. Best dairy cows made £l2 to £lB, others £7 10s to £ll, aged and inferior cows £5 to £6 108, best dairy heifers £9 10s to £l4 10s, others £6 los to £9 os. Bulls were also in large numbers, and sold from 6gns. to 16gns., according to quality. At Pukekohe on Tuesday we held our monthly store sale, when we had one of the largest yardings for the yards, 1972 cattle being penned, and, with the exc°ption of two small pens, everything changed hands at fully late rates. Grown steers in fresh conditions sold at from £l4 'ss to £l6 lls for a pen of 12 steers from Ngapuke Estate. Three to 4-year-old steers £l3 5s to £ls 17s 6d, 2 to 3-j ear-old steers £ll 5s to £l3, yearlings to 2-year-old, £6 to £lO 19s, steer calves £2 10s to £3 15s, heifer calves £1 16s to £2 15s, yearling to 2-year-old heifers £4 15s to £7 .is, empty cows aud heifers £6 los to £9 17s 6d, bulls7gns to 14gns Beef in large numbers 6old at fully Westiield prices. At West field fat stock sale on Wednesday beef was penned in scarcely average numbers and mostly of good quality. Competition was keen and prices firmer. Best oxen sold to £2 10s per 1001b, others £2 6s to £2 9s; cow and heifer beef sold at from £2 2s to £2 8s per 1001b. Steers sold at from £l3 17s 6d to £2l 15s; cows and heifers sold at from £9 to £l7 12s 6d. Calves were penned in large numbers, and sold at slightly improved prices. Runners £7 10s to £lO 15s, heavy vealers £5 os to £7 lis, medium vealers £4 6s to £5 4s, light vealers £2 os to £4 Is, small and freshdropped 13s to £2 Is. Sheep were penned in scarcely average numbers, and sold at improved rates. Best woolly wethers £2 2s to £2 7s 6d, others £1 los 3d to £2 Is 3d ; shorn wethers £ I 7s to £1 16s, shorn ewes £1 os to £1 14s 6d, woolly ewes£l 19s to £2 2s, woolly hoggets £1 15s to£l 19s. Spring lambs in large numbers sold at fully laet week's prices. Best £1 os to £1 12s 9d, others 18s to £1 4s. Pigs were penned in average numbers, and improved in prices. No choppers yarded. Heavy baconers £4 7s to £5 ss, medium baconers £3 15s to £4 6s, light baconers £3 4s to £3 14s; heavy porkers £2 19s to £3 Bs, medium porkers £2 9s to £2 18s, light porkers £1 19s to £2 8s; slips £i 6s to £1 12s; weaners los to £1 os.
