MINISTERIAL VISIT TO PUKEKOHE.

Mr Henries Coming Tuesday.

Thanks to the activity of the local Chamber of Commerce, the Minister of Bailways (the Hon. W. H. Herries M.P.) has arranged to visit Pukekohe on Tuesday next, when he will receive a deputation from the Chamber in legard to various railway matters, including a renewal of the request for the main trunk express trains to stop daily at Pukekohe instead of only on Sundays. Mr Herries will arrive at 12.46 p.m. and will proceed on to Auckland by the 3.38 p.m. Rotorua express. Arrangements are being made by the Executive of the Chamber to entertain the Minister at luncheon in the Pukekohe Hotel and also to convey him by motor over and around Pukekohe Hill.
