PAPAKURA.

Mr £. Mandich, the new licensee of Papakura's up to-date billiard and shaving saloon, is well-known in the North as a thorough sportsman. For eight years he was a steward of the Northern Wairoa Racing Club and is a life vicepresident of the Dargaville Rugby Football Club. He is also a member of the Wbangarei Racing Club. After several weeks enforced rest through ill health Mr W. Crawford walked to his pharmacy on Wednesday last. Several weeks, however, will elapse before he will be able to return to active duty. Mr Fogarty, an official of the Health Department, made a trip to the district on Wednesday last in connection with the outbreak of dipthena.
