WEDDING BELLS.
Atkin—Nelson. A pretty wedding was celebrated at the Pukekohe Presbyterian Church last Wednesday, the contracting parties being Mr Arthur William Atkin, son of the late Mr E. R. Atkin, of Pukekohe East, and Miss Annie Nelson, daughter of the late Mr J. T. Nelson and of Mrs Nelson, of Pukekohe. The Rev. S. Nixon performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr W. H. Nelson, wore a dainty white lace dress trimmed with cream silk ribbon, surmounted by the usual wedding veil with orange blossoms, and she carried a choice bouquet of roses and asparagus fern. The bridesmaids were Miss Muriel E Lawrie and Miss Minnie Nelson (sister of the bride), the former wearing a frock of white embroidered voile with white Panama hat to match and the latter a frock of white embroidered muslin with white lace hat. Mr W. Easton and Mr F. Hun t acted as bestman and groomsman respectively. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a handsome gold brooch and to each of the biidesmaids he presented a valuable gold-mounted cameo brooch.
The presents were numerous and useful.
Subsequent to the ceremony, a wedding breakfast was partaken of at the residence of the bride's mother, several relatives and friends being present.
