FATAL DROWNING ACCIDENT.

A carpenter, named Mr Ken Entwhistle, residing at Tuakau South, was drowned at the Waikato Heads on Sunday afternoon last. He was one of a party, including his wife, who proceeded to the Heads in Mr A. Lapwood's Lunch, but instead of going ashore with the other members of the party he remained on board the boat with Mr A. Lapwood, with the intention of fishing. The anchor of the launch began to drag and whilst Mr Lapwood was engaged attending to the same he looked round and observed Entwhistle in the water some chains away. The unfortunate man disappeared before assistance could be rendered him, and his body has not yet been recovered.
