WAERENGA.

Road Board Election. Polling for the vacant representation of the Waerenga sub-division ou the Whangamarino Boad Board, caused by the resignation of Mr D. K. Martin, took place yesterday, Messrs T. Loftus and S. A. Waite being the candidates. Little interest was taken in the elections as out of nearly 400 electors on the roll less than 50 votes were cast. The result was that Mr Waite was elected by 31 votes as against 15 recorded for Mr Loftus.
