THE COIN IN YOUR TROUSERS' POCKET.
Some friends you know —and some you don't Some help you on—and some, they wont But the friend at call—is the best of all, The coin in your trousers' pockets It's good to have—a trusty pal When your luck is up against the wall, But the friend you need—is the friend indeed, The coin in your trousers' pocket. The friend that helps you—to his cash When everything is going to smash Is the friend for you—though not so true, As the friend in your trousers' pocket. If you have the cash—no need to worry, Exert yourself, or rush or hurry, The money's there—it ends your care The coin iu your trousers' pocket. If you love a girl, and she loves you And you are sure that she is true Give hor a kiss—though you do not miss The coin from your trouseus' pocket. When the War is over, and all is done, And our boys have whipped the beastly Hun Plague on our cant—if they ever want A coin in their troupers' pockets. Some gave their Jives, that we might live It was simply all -they had to give One life's worth more, by a hundred score, Than the coin in your trousers' pocket. Just think it over— .and tell me this Can we ever replace the we miss Os against their loss—your gold is dross The coin in your trousers' pocket. J. W. M.LAREN, Sen., Patirmahor,
