TO THE EDITOR.] Sir, —ln jour report of the Dairy Association meeting, held at Hamilton, and published in your lFsue of September Ist, you state, " Mr Uarriball, referring to published s!atement3 ot Mr Henry, his opponent for the Lower Waikato, made the p.-int clear that he (Mr Barnball) was a supplier of the Association.'' In the first place I v>i h to point ojt that in neither my circular cor adstrtissment announcing my candidature did 1 state that Mr Barribsll was not a euppli r, although I advrcated the advisability of shareholding-suppliers supporting a genuine supplier of tne Association. That Mr Uarriball said out h'n df iry herd some lev/ years ago is well known throuaLout the Lower Waikato; but that he 13 a supplier 1 have the authority of the Managing Director of the Association, who says, "I believe he has an interest in several supplies from the Waiuku district, although his name only appears as a partner in respect to ona of them." It ie evidently not a difficult matt r for. any shareholder £0 desiring to qualify as a supplier, and I have no reason to doubt Mr Pacey's statement that he believes Mr Barnball has interests \i several supplies from the Waiuku district. 1 may say, frcin infoimation tendered me en all sides, that I was of opinion that Mr Batirbjll was not a supplier, at the time not being aware that the Articles of Association required such as a qualification fur a seat 01 the Directorate.
