PUKEKOHE BOROUGH COUNCIL. NOTICE TO STRIKE KATES. NOTICE is hereby given in compliance with Sections 78, 80 and 83 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, Section 50 of the Rating Act, 1908, and Section 41 of the Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 19<i9, that it is the intention of the Pukekohe Borough Council at the next ordinary meeting to be held on WEDNESDAY, September 20th, to strike and levy the following rates for the year ending March 31st, 1917, viz. : A General Rate of Id and a Hospital and Charitable Aid Rate of One Sixth of a Penny in the £ on the capital value of all rateable property within the Borough. A Separate Water Rate —(11 Consumers Rate in respect ot the Ordinary supply (8000 gallons per fix months) on all lands and buildings to which water is supplied, to be based on the annual value, vi/.: (a) where the annual value does not exceed £l2 10s the sum of 10s: (b) wlice the annual value exceeds £l2 10s, 5 per cent, on the first £3OO of such value, and 4 per cent, on the balance of such value above £300; (c) Upon all buildings used as stores or warehouses or for any purpose other than as dwelling houses half the above rates. ( - 2) Non-consumers rate-Upon all lands and buildings to which water can be but is not supplied, situated within HtO yards of any part of the Waterworks, one half of the rates above mentioned. (•!)• Upon all lands and buildings supplied with private mains 5 per cent on the first £SO; %]■s per ' cent on the second £SO; and 1 percent, on so much of such value as exceeds £IOO. ~ .
