Women's Patriotic League.
i TO THE EDITOR. | Sir,—At the annual meeting of the Pukekohe Branch of the Women's Patriotic League held last Friday I was instructed to convey to you their sincere thanks and appreciation for the continuous help you have on so many occasions given the patriotic cause in which the League Committee are striving to assist, namely, the sending of clothing and warm comforts to New Zealand lads on the battlefields. The Executive fully recognise the infinite benefit the cause has obtained by your forethought and kindness in keeping the reports of work done or intended to be undertaken before the public, also, the need of supplying warm garments for the boys, especially when exposed to the severity of a Northern European winter. Again thauking you for the generous and able assistance given the League.—l am, etc , M. M. BAXrER, Hon. (Acting) Sec. Pukekohe B.W.P. League. August 2'Jth, 191(1.
