STOCK SALE REPORTS.

Messrs Alfred Buuklaud and Sons report as follows : At Pukekohe on Saturday we held a special sale of dairy cattle, and had a record yarding. There was a large attendance, and a good clearance was effected. Secondgrade cows were a little lower in value. Best cows and heifers made £ll to £lB 7s Gd, others £8 to £lO 10s, aged and inferior £4 to £7 15s. At Pukekohe on Monday, July 31st, we held our usual monthly sale, and had large entries in all departments. There continues to be a good demand for all classes at ruling rates. Three to four-year-old steers made £ll to £l3, two to three-year-olds £8 10s to £lO 10s, yearling to 18-months steers £4 15s to £7, heifers same age £3 10s to £5 Bs, calves £2 10s to £3 17s, empty cows and heifers £5 10s to £8 lUs, bulls £8 to £ls 103, small fat steers £l2 to £l4, fat cows and heifers £7 to £l2 15s.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company report : At the Westfield fat stock market on Wednesday beef was yarded in average numbers. No heavyweights being yardeJ, bidding was brisker, and the market showed a firmer tone. Best oxen sold to £2 6d per 100lb, others £2 3s to £2 5s ; cows and heifers sold at from £2 2s Gd to £2 4j (id for first quality, others £1 18s to £2; steers sold at from £ll 12s 6d to £l9 10; cows and heifers sold at from £6 5 j to £l6. Calves were penned in full numbers, and sold at improved rates. RunDers sold at from £6 15s to £lO ; heavy suckers £4 14s to £6 10s; medium suckers, £3 5s to £1 13s; light suckers, £1 18s to £o 4s; small and fresh-dropped, Is to £l 1.5s Sheep were penned in average numbers, and again improved iu prices from 2s to 3s per head. Best wethers sold at from £1 17s 9d to £2 3e 3d, others £1 12s 9d to £ 1 16s 9d; best ewes sold at from £1 13s (>d to £1 17s ;no prime ewes yarded others £1 9s 6d to£l 12s 6d. Hoggets, in small numbers, £ 1 3s Od to £l 10s 6d. Pigs were penned in smaller numbers than usual, and improved in prices considerably. No choppers or heavy baconers yarded. Medium baconers, £3 15s to £ 1 14s: light baconers, £3 4d to £3 14s; heavy porkers, £3 4s to £3 17s; medium porkers. £2 15s to £3 3s; light porkers, £2 os to £2 14s ; slips £ 17s ti> 1 6s, smaller 10s to 16s. No weaners yarded.
