PUKEKOHE EAST.
LADY LIVERPOOL LEAGUE. The fortnightly meeting of the Pukekohe East branch of the Lady Liverpool League was held at the residence of Mrs S. Hamilton on July 27th. Only a few members attended, but the League will gladly welcome at the next meeting anyone who is interested in the good work that is being done. The President reported having purchased material to be made up, and also a further supply of wool, so anyone may obtain work if they wish, by applymg to Mrs Robinson The League forwarded £1 17s 6d in July to the Auckland centre as their contribution towards the Dominion gifts It may also be mantioned that the children of the Pukekohe East School are doing their " little bit," by sending along their pennies to help towards the Gift parcels, and three paicels were subscribed for in July by the children, who are also going to make kakhi handkerchiefs out of material supplied by tho League. Mrs Hamilton served afternoon tea and tho meeting dispersed after accepting Mrs Robinson's invitation to meet at her house on 21th August.
