The chairman of the Town Board has receivd word fiom Wellington that in the event of the Board being empowered by the ratepayers to raise a £12,000 lean the Public Trustee will be afcle to supply that amount of money at 5) per cent, plus one per cent sinking fund. Several good catches of whitebait have been made on the Waikato river by natives dilrmg the last few days, and the Auckland merchants are now being supplied wilh the dainty hah.
