FOREIGN MISSIONS.
I The Methodists ot tins district arc I Foreign Mission enthusiasts. Last I year they sent £ll6 to the funds ;of the Australasian Methodist I Missionary Society, which operates lin Fiji, New Guinea, New Britain and India. The annual Foreign Missionary meetings have been held in the Circuit during the past week, tt.e deputatir.n being the Rev. E. T. Cox, M.A., cl tiie Auckland Methodist Mission, whose addrcsjes have aroused considerable interest in missions, lie gace a flowing account of the report of the missionary epcakers at the May meetinsg in London, which showed that though this was a period of war missionary enterprise in India and China and elsewhere was prcducirtg phenomenal ris;it j .
