MANUREWA.

A claim for compensation against the Minister for Railways will occupy the atten'ion of Mr Justice Cooper in the Supreme Court on Monday and Tuesday next Francis William Wood, of Manurewa, seeks to recover £2241 as damages lie alleges he has suffered in land taken and injuriously affected arising out of the railway deviation at Manurewa. Mr G. W. Basley, of Auckland, has been appointed assessor for the plaintiff and Mr A. S. Holmes has been appointed assessor for the Minister for Bailways.
