ONEWHERO.

At a meeting of the Eaglan County Council held at Ngaruawaliia on Wednesday last, the engineer (Mr .T. W. Civil) submitted the following particulars of work carried out in the Onewhero riding during the months of May and Juno, viz : —A portion of one of the large truss spans in the Tuakau bridge had to be repaired as the result of a mob of bv'.locks crushing into and smashing it. The poition of the Tuakau to Waingaro road, leading up the hill towards Onewhero, had been repaired with metal and the decking on the Opuatia bridge had been repaired. Ivelsey's road had been satisfactorily reformed with scoops and a g»'ader. Provision for a special rating area in connection with the poll to be taken on the proposal to borrow £9OO for a deviation, to pass through Mr Hamilton's property was niado at Wednesday's mooting of the Kaglau County Council, whon such uvea was dofiied.
