The Battle of Stations.
TTO THE EDITOR.] Sir, —Your correspondent is rather disappointing in his report of meeting held on.Wednesday evening re Drury station.
In reference to the " unanimous decision "he does not explain that when the motion was put to the meeting only nine persons present held up their hands in support, all others in 'the hall refraining from voting either one way or the other, and of those nine I do not think all could claim to be permanent residents of the Drurv district.
Further, I think your correspondent is a J it-tie wide of the mark in regard to number present. Including the Kunciman contingent I could not count more than about 25. It would also have been interesting to some of your readers had some explanation been given as to reason why the gentlemen referred to as " representing Karaka " have so suddenly developed an interest in Drury's welfare.—l am, etc., ONE OF THE FOKTY.
