The following is an interesting essay on husbands, viz. : Husbands are so like human beings that it is frequently very diHicult to tell the difference Uuite a number oi women have husbands, and those who aro without are saving up to get a good specimen. The best varieties are those that aro caught young, and they make excellent pets when properly house-trained. Husbands are easy to train, and it is really wonderful how tame they will become. They have been known, by careful training, to clean their boots ou the door mat, but this takes a considerable time to teach. Husbands can also be used to dig the garden, and will work for hours without any watching. Not long ago we heard of one specimen who, although only in training, was so clever that he was observed to go into the tool-shed and drink beer out of a can just like u roal gardener.
