The best varieties are those that aro caught young, and they make excellent pets when properly house-trained. Husbands are easy to train, and it is really wonderful how tame they will become. They have been known, by careful training, to clean their boots ou the door mat, but this takes a considerable time to teach. Husbands can also be used to dig the garden, and will work for hours without any watching. Not long ago we heard of one specimen who, although only in training, was so clever that he was observed to go into the tool-shed and drink beer out of a can just like u roal gardener.
