The N e\v Zealand Loan aud Mercantile Agency Company report as follows : At Pukekohe on Monday we had a full yarding of dairy cattle for our special dairy sale, and buyers being in attendance, competition was keen, everything being sold at high rates Best dairy cows, £lO to £lO 10s ; others, £0 to £'J 10s ; best ditto heifers, £8 15s to £l3 ; others, £-3 10s to £8 os. At Pukekohe on Tuesday we had a lull yarding- Bidding was keen and we report a most successful sale, prices advancing for all classes of stock. Two and a-half to three-year-old steers, £8 15s to £10: yearling to 18-month steers, I'o os to £f> 17s (id : steer calves, £3 to £4 lis ; heifer calves, £2 os to £3 17s fid : yearling to 18-months heifers, £4 to £5 12s (id ; empty cows and heifers, £<i os to £8 17s (id : bulls, £0 10s to £l2. Beef, in large supply, sold at fully Westtield prices, steers selling to £l6 10s; cows to £l2 17s (id. The advertised hoggets realised 17s. At Westiield fat stock market on Wednesday beef was penned in average numbers, and sold at improved prices under keen competition. Best oxen cold to £2 7s (id per 1001b, others £2 :1s to £"2 6s ; cows and heifers sold to £2 os per 1001b for best, others £2 Is to £2 3s Od ; steers sold at from £l2 7s (id to £2O 7s 6d ; cows and heifers sold at from £8 os to £lO los; 12 steers from Karaka averaged £lO. Calves were penned in full numbers, and sold at advanced rates. Runners sold at from £7 os to £9 los; heavy suckers £4 17s 0d to £7; medium suckers £3 to £4 12s 6d, light £1 15s to £2 15s; small and freshdropped, 3s to £1 12s. Slieep were penned in average numbers. Competition was keen and prices adcvanced Is 6d to 2s 6d per head. Best wethers sold at from £1 10s Od to £2 0j 3d for a pen of wethers; other wethers, £1 13s to £1 10s; best ewes sold at from £1 14s Od to £1 18s 3d, others £1 lis 9d to £1 14s; hoggets sold at from £1 Is Od to £1 10s 6d. Lambs were penned in small numbers, and sold at high prices. Best sold at from £ 1 to £ 1 os 3d, others 10s 3d to I'Js 'Jd. Pigs were penned in largo numbers, and improved in prices. Choopers sold at from £5 to £7 2s Od; heavy baconers £4 os to £4 17s0d, medium £3 14s to £4 3s, light £3 0s to £3 13s ; heavy porkers £2 10s to £3 3s, medium £2 2s to £2 O.s, light £l los to £2 Is; slips, £ 1 2s to £ 1 lis; no weaners yarded.
