HUNDREDS OK FAMILIES LIVE INONE BUILDING. There has just finished one of the most remarkable expeditions of recent years. Ever since BKJ9 Dr. H. C. Nelson has been exploring New 31exico in order to study the old cliff dwellers who lived there thousaiisd of years ago. He explored in all over a thousand square miles of territory, discovered' sixty-eight ancient villages, and brought back witlil.ini many thousands of ancient cups and saucers, vases, an pots and pans of those early da'ys. His most remarkable discovery* how[•ver, was what are called _"' communal" houses, that is to say, big houses in ■vhich large nunu'lus of families live.
