MANUREWA.

(Chairman of the Manurewa Town Board ) Mr Thomas Jamas Corin, the first chairman of the Manurevra Towd Board, had the distinction of heading the poll at the election recently held consequent on tbe establishment of the Board. He is in age the junior of all the members of the Board, and is probably the youngest individual in the Dominion to preside over an important local authority, being only 27 years of age. Although his residence in Manurewa has not exceeded two years, he has displayed such business acumen an d ability that his qualifications for the position to which li 9 has been appointed are admitted on all sides. He is an engineer by profession.
