At Waiuku on Saturday w« had a fair yarding of all classes :)f stock, and we report a Rood sale. Beßt dairy cows atd heifers maCe £8 15s to £l3 10s, others £5 15s to £B. bulls £5 to £lO, empty cows £4 5s to £7 10s, steer calves £2 to £3 lUs, heifer calves £1 5s to £2 ss, 18 months steers £4 10s to £5 ss, 18 months heifers £3 to £4 10s, a quantity of betf fat Wesfield prices On Wednesday, at the Weatfield tat stock market, beef was penned in full number*?, and mostly extra prime quality. Competition was keen, and prices again advanced tor all sorts. Best oxen sold to £2 7s per 1001b, others £2 3s to £2 6s, cows and heifers £2 2s to £2 5s per 1001b, steers from £IU 5s to £24 10s, cows and heifers £6 5s to £l6 10s. Some of the averages were: Sixteen steers trom Benj. Reid, Waerenga, £lB 3s; 9 steers from Fred Uregman, Waiuku, £ls 2s; 8 ste;rs from E T Bent, Waiuku, £ls 19s; 14 steers from Kobert Peareoo, Moumoukai, £l6. Ihe veal pens were tilled in average number?, and again, under keen competition, advanced hi pries. Kunners sold at from £6 7s 6d to £8 15s, heavy suckers £4 5a to £5 Gs, medium suckers £2 15a to £3 ICs, light suckers £1 15s to £2 10s, small and fresh dropped 3s to 19?, unfinished calves 17s to £1 Us. Sheep were penned n average num bers, and sold at advanced rates. Best wetherß made £1 15s to £1 19s, other wethers £1 5s to £1 14s 6cl, hoggets £1 Ib to £1 Gs, best ewes to £1 I4b, others £1 4s to £1 13s 6d. Lambs were penned in average yarding, first quality making 19s to £1 of, others 17s to ISs 9d,. Pigs were penned in large numbers, and sold at last week's prices, No choppers were yarded. Heavy baconres £4 to £4 15b, medium £3 9a to £3 19s, light £3 11 £3 8s; heavy porkers £2 8s la £2 16s. medium £1 18s to £2 6s. light £; 5a to £1 16s; slips lbs to £1 3»; weaner?, 8o lo 14s
Messrs Aifred Bucklacd and Suns report:— At t'ukekohe on Monday we teld a special horse sale, when inert than the advertised number came forward, Thire was a large attendance, but bidding generally was dull. Young draughts sold at frem £27 to £32; m.dium draugh s, £lB to £2(3; aged draughts £l4 to £23; farm horses £l2 bi to £2l 10s; light harness sort?, 17 to £ls 10s; buggy horses and hacks, £lO 5s to £li); gig ponies. A' 3 10s to £11; weeds, aged ana worn sorts, 10s upwards Un Tuesday we held a clearance sale at Mr I Colson's, Whangwata. Buyers were in attendance, and a satisfactory sale resulted. The dairy Cows brought from £8 15s to £l3 2s (.id; heifers, due in the spring, £7 2s 6d to £8 17s 6d; yearling to 18 months' heifers, £3 10s to £4 10s; farm horses, £ll 10s to £ls 10s; light waggon, £36.
