MANUREWA.

The Methodist Guild is a icpl live Society, doing good worn amongst the young folk of the district. Though only in its infaLcy, it has some 30 members, with a rising membership. Meetings are held every Friday night, and are well attended. The Camera Club, a branch of the Guild, with some 15 to 20 members, had a very tine evening discussing the camera and its part?, and correct exposure. The luiies are giving careful study to the subject under hand, and it would not be surprising to see a majority of ladies elected Following on the Town Board meeting, Messrs 1 J Conn, C H Lupton and E S Pcgler waited on the Chief Draughtsman, and Mr Morgan, Government Valuer, at the Government EuilJing on Friday last in reference to a plan ci the Manurcwa Town Board boundaries. The deputation found that the plan was in process of making, and in consultation with these gentlemen several sjb-divisiotn were addeJ, and minor al'.erations proposed. The completed plan will be finished early next month, and tor a vetv modest outlay the Town Board will Je in possession of a plan uii a rcale. lhis plan will be hung in the Koad Board otlice, and will te very U'Cful to property owners, surveyors and others inteieslfd Within the next tew monihs the Government (ropese putting in a temporary bridge to carry the trhfiic over station road from the railway etation. This will obviate tie closing of the road whilit the work is continued and the rails laid u;i the rew track.
