CHURCHILL.

The whirl of activity at Messrs Maddren Bros.' mill continues. For over two months two shifts of ten hours each have been worked to cope with the enormous quantity of flax coming to hand. The weekly shipments to the mill consist of 50 tons from Huntly, 15 tons from Rangiriri, '25 tons from Whangamarino and 15 tons from Opautia creek. The " All-British " steamers are engaged in delivering the flax. The manager, Mr W. J- Stone, speaks well of the prospects of the flax industry.
