FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Franklin County Council, held at the Council Chair bers, Hall street, Pukekohe, 011 WEDNESDAY, the third day of May, 1916, the following Resolution was passed, and will be submitted for confirmation at the Ordinary Meeting of the Council to be held on THUBSDA Y the eighth day of June, 1916, at 9.30 a.in , at the Chambers of the Council, Pukekohe, aforesaid. RESOLUTION. " In exercise of the powers conferred upon it by i'art I of the "Counties Act, 1908," th 9 Franklin County Council hereby by Special Order repeals By-laws Nos. 56, 57. 58,59, (>2. 70, 74, 81,8'J, 91 and 111 and also the Ist and "_'nd schedules to Part 11., (be Ist and 2nd schedules to Part 111., and the Ist schedule to Part V 111. of the By-laws, made and passed on the sth March, 19! 4, and confirmed on the 9th April, 1914, AND UEROY MAKES, ADOPTS AND API'ROVKS by Special Order in their stead the Bylaws and Schedules as now signed by the Chairman and directs that a meeting of the Council be held on THURSDAY, the eighth day of June, 1916, at the Chambers o!' the Council at Pukekohe for the purpose of confirmation." The object and purport of [he Bylaws are to regulate, control or license the following matters, and to provide penalties lor the breach ot any of these By-laws. To regulate and control heavy traffic for hire and require the same to bo licensed ; to regulate the width of tyres and vehicles and the loads to be carried ; to provide identification marks for licensed vehicles ; to regulate and control traffic upon roads during the months of May to Sep t ember inclusive ; to prohibit nuisances and damage to any watertable; to regulate and control public halls, billiard roo lis and shooting galleries, and to ro<|uiro the same to lie licensed ; to regulate and control traction engines <>n roads and prescribing various forms of applications to and licenses by the Council. A full copy of the proposed By-laws is deposited at the Chambers of the Council, Hall street, Pukekohe, and will be open to the inspection of the public during office hours from this date to the said oighth day of Juno no\l.
