The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. report:—At Pukekohe on Tuesday we had an extra large yarding of all classes of stock. The specially advertised turnip cattle were an extra good lot, showed both (quality and condition. Competition was keen and we report a most successful sale, Crown steers in forward condition sold at from £ll 10s to £l2 16s; others from £9 15s to £ll 78(id; two aDd a-half to threeyear steers, £7 10s to £9 12s 61; 18 months to two-year steers, £6 10s to £7 ss; yearling to 18-mouths steers, £4 5s to £5 5s ; steer calves, £2 16a to £4 Is; heifer calves, for best, £2 to £2 1)3; others, £1 5s to £1 15s ! inferior calves, I Is to £1 Is ; heifers suitable for dairy purposes, £1 15a to £6 10s ; empty cows aud heifers, £5 5s to £6 15s; yearling to 18uionths heifers, £2 5s to £3 10s; bulls, £5 to £l2; best dairy cows and heifers, £'J loi to £ls ; others, £5 10s to,£B K»s; inferior and aged cows, £2 10s to £1 10s Messrs Alfred Bucklaud aud Sjns report:—We held our usual monthly sale in the Wuiuku yards ou Saturday, May 6th. The yards were comfortably tilled, aud there was a good demand for all classes; springers brought from £7 to £ll K's; fat cows and heifer.*, £7 10 j to £l2; empty cows, £-J 15s to £6 ss; 18mouths heifers, £3 10s to £1 6s ; 1* months to two-year-old steers, £1 17s to £6 12s 6d: good calves, £2 2s to £2 15s, smaller £1 10s to £1 19s. bulls, £5 5s to £0 9s; pigs, 10s to 18s Cd.
