AMJTTATIOX Willi,K IXDER THE KXOIYS KIUK The "Xouvelle Gazette." of Zurich, relates a typical story of the cool heroism of two British airmen. Lieutenant S. and Captain C. I). were being chased by a German arrnplane commanded by Lieutenant lmmclmann, who opened lire on the EnglUhmen with bis machine gun and pierced their petrel tank with his lilnt edict. The Hrit ; f.N aeroplane began to descend in a vdplano, and the (iernian fired nun in, 'he captain in the right arm and smashing two of his fingers. Wiiile the captain peered with his left hand. Lieutenant S. amputated the two fingers. The airmen came down in safety, but as they had no more petrel in their tank 'they were unable to set fire to their machine, wb eh fi 1! into the hard- of the German*.
