LAWN TENNIS.
The Pukekohe Club's handicap tournament was advanced another stage when the Ladies' doubles and Combined Doubles were finished. The following is the result of the matches played : Ladies' Doubles, first round: Miss Aldridge and Miss Johns beat Mrs Motion aDd Miss Batty; Mrs Bayly and Miss Coster beat Misses Taylor; Mrs Grigor and Miss Bilkey beat Mis ZiDzan and Miss Middleton. Second round: Miss Aldridge and Miss Johns beat Mrs Grigor and Miss Bilkey; Mrs Bayly and Miss and Coster a bye. Final: Mrs Bayly and Miss Coster beat Miss Aldridge and Mies Johns.
Combined Doubles, First round : Miss Bilkey and Grimshaw beat Miss Aldridge and Treanor ; Mrs Bayly and Johns beat Miss M. Taylor and Hopkins; Miss Middleton and Nelson beat MiBS Taylor and Treanor ; Miss Batty and Bockett a bye. Second round: Miss Bilkey and Grimshaw beat Mrs Bayly and Johns ; Miss Batty and Bockett beat Miss Middleton and Nelson. Final: Miss Batty and Bockett beat Miss Bilkey and Grimshaw.
