Ex-members of the local Railway Department are to be complimented on the satisfactory manner in which they have responded to the call oi arms. The latest recruit is Mr W. Booth. There was a credit balance of £7 7s od on the General a/c and of <£G 2s 5d on the Local a/c. The roll number now stood at 89—a slight deciease on last year's figure. At the annual examination four pupils gained certificates of proficiency and one of competency. Fourteen pupils obtained first-class certificates, not having missed a half-day throughout the year. Through subsidies from the Board on monies forwarded from the local account the School had received a complete set of dairy science apparatus and chemicals.
