PUKEKOHE EAST.

The annual meeting of householders in connection with the election of the School Committee, was held in the Bchool on Monday with only a limited attendance. The chair was taken by Mr Watkin Eopinsoii. The secretary read the report for the past year, which was duly adopted. The Chairman of Committee, Mr Alt. White, who was unavoidably absent, sent in a review of work done at the school during the past year, the same being considered, satisfactory. Special mention was made of the school gardens, which are in 'splendid order and artistically laid out, rellecting the greatest credit on teachers and children alike. The following officers ami committee for the ensuing year were appointed, viz : Chairman, Mr J. Oleuie; hun. secretary and treasurpr, Mv T. Hamilton ; committee : Messrs M. Ballard, R. Diugle and A. White.
