Anzac Day.

; TO THE EDITOR, 1 Sir, —I write to enquire why 110 steps have been taken to arrange a suitable celebration and memorial service in Pukekohe on the first anniversary of the historic landing of New Zealand troops—many from this district—on the peninsula of Gallipoli on the 25th April. I notice that in many towns the movement has already gained much ground, and it will be to the everlasting discredit of Pukekohe if nothing is done to commemorate this great feat of arms by New Zealand's soldiers. I naturally expected the Borough Councd to take the matter up. It is not too late even now for that body, or some other, to bestir itself.—l am, etc , INQUIRER.
