PUKEKOHE SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
The usual monthly meeting of the Pukekohe District High School Committee was held on Monday last, the members present being Messrs F. Perkins chairman), A.Y. Daysh, F. Jackson. J. Patterson, E. Smith, J. Bellhouse, F. Brown, J. Pilkington (secretary). In connection with the proposed improvement of tho drainage at the school it was reported that the work promised by the Architect to tho Board would be proceeded with this week together with improvements to bo effected to tho Edinburgh street frontago. It was also reportod that tho experimental sump suuk since the last meeting had reached a dopth of lo feet where water was found. It was resolved if necessary to spend a further sum of oos in an ondeavour to break through the clay bottom. Correspondence betweou the Supervisior and secretary of the Committee for suggestions towards securing better attendance at the Technical and Continuation Classes was read and the reply of the secretary was approved.
