A concert for the benefit of the Soldiers' Camp Equipment Fund Las been organised by Miss Millicent Taylor to take place in the Premier Hall, on Tuesday, May 2nd. The performers, in addition to Miss Taylor's pupils, will include artists from Auckland.
As a result of examination by the Medical Board, Sergt. Roy Schofield tPukekohe) and Pte Albert Robinton Patumahoe), who have been under treatment at the military sanatorium at Rotorua, Lave been certified as unfit for further active service and have consequently been given their discharge from the Forces.

A correspondent from a Gauntry district, signing himself " Faith," sends us the following indignant letter : " Have you any idea when the women of New Zealand will learn sense 'i 1 called ia at one of our shops the other day. I purchased what 1 wanted and was leaving when 1 was told that 1 was a " shirker." I am 1«> years of 9ge and you can imagine how angry 1 was. 1 would advise all women folk who are looking for troublo in this way to look out for a prompt 3lap in the face. I hope some uf our womeu folk will take heed."
