Mr Wm, Feather has decided to take a trip to England and then to Egypt with a view of visiting his son's grave, at Cairo. Pte. Feather, it will bo remembered, after services at the engagement at tho Suez Canal, contracted pneumonia and died in a hospital at Cairo. Opportunity was taken after the service at St. John's Church on Sunday evening to bid Mr Feather adieu and to make him a small presentation, The congregation who are well acquainted with the active interest and good work Mr Feather has done in connection with the church and Sunday school, particularly tho latter, of which he was superintendent, remained on for the ceremony. The Rev. L. Foulkes, in handing a diessing case to Mr Feather eulogised him for the excellent christian spirit that prompted him in the good work he had accomplished. He wished him a sale and beneficial journey. Mr Feather mado suitable response. The annual meeting of tit. John's vestry was held on Wednesday oi last week, tho Rev. L. Foulkes presiding.
