The inward traffic at the Railway Station is rapidly increasing mainly on account of large orders of agricultural lime comintr to lund from Te Kuiti iu lieu of basic slag, of which thore fs a scarcity, and partly through residents of Karaka using the station more so than in the past. Thanks to facilities provided by the new bridges. The out waul traffic, consisting chiefly of _ produce and sash and door joinery is well maintained. The passenger traffic, particularly since the 12.8 pm. train from Auckland ou Saturdays has been running, shows a decided increase in revonue from that source. A very .fair idea of the large dimensions of the building iu course of erection on the section unjoining the Globe Hotel can now be obtained since the framowoik has loon erected. The frontage to the Great South Road is o 1 feet 5 i nches. In addition to Messrs R. Dunn and L. McKinstry who were farewelled by the employees of Messrs Willis Bros., on Wednesday evening last, Messrs O. Parker, R. Lever, J. Whitford and W. Richardson have enlisted for tho front. Another good sale of Papakura property took place a few days past, when Mrs Bonwell's property of 10 acres and a house was sold to Mr W Pickwell, of Ponsonby.
