WEDDING.

Willis— Bilkcy. The wedding took place at St. Andrew's Church, Pukekohe, 011 February 16th last, of Mr William Arthur Willis, son of the late Mr Cottingham Willis and of Mrs O. L. Willia, of Pukekohe, late of Mount Albert, to Miss Jessie Edith Bilkey, daughter of Mr and Mrs John Bitkey, of Fair View, Pukekohe. The Rev. F. B. Hobson, by special lequest, came from Paeroa to perform the ceremony, in which he was assisted by the Rev. J. P. Cowie (Vicar . The bride, who was given away by her father, was charmingly attired iu white silk with a pretty lace tunic and she also wore the customary veil and wreath of orange blossoms, her bouquet being of white lillies aud asparagus and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaids, Miss Lillie I Bilkey sister of the bride) aud Miss Ella Wilkinson, wore white voile dresses, with black velvet hats trimmed with ostrich feathers, and carried bouquets of pink and mauve asters. Mr E. 0. Willis was in attendance on his brother as bestman and Mr Sidney Bilkey acted as groomsman. Miss Taylor presided at the organ and played the Wedding March as the bridal party left the Church aiiiid a shower of rice and confetti. Owing to so many friends and relations being away at the war tte wedding was a very quiet one, but several old friends of the family came long distances to attend. The presents received were pretty and valuable, some handsome cheques being given by old friends and relations. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a lovely amythest brooch and to the bridesmaids pretty tuiquoiso brooches. After being photographed at Mr F. E. Simpson's the party met at Mrs McGovern's and paitook of afternoon tea. The Rev. L>ob-:on in proposing the health of the bride and bridegroom referred to his long acquaintance with tho bride's family, who had been connected with Pukekohe for about 35 years. The Rev. Cowie submitted " Absent Friends " and especially mentioned the boys at the Front. The newly-married couple subsequently left for Whangarei and Russell, where the honeyiuoon was spout. It is interesting to meution that they are making thoir new home 011 tho part oi tho farm 111 Pukekohe on which tho brido was born.
