AMENDED BLACKLEG REGULATIONS.
The regulations under the Stock Act tor the prevention of blackleg among cuttle were lecently amended in order to meet present conditions. Bitter to the operation i>f these regulathns has b:tn confined practically to the laranaki Province. Owing to the disease having become more or lesa troublesome k ot late in esrtaia parts of Aucklatcl, the whole or parts <| the following counties in that province have now bwsn declired infected areas: 1' rank in, Ka.g'an. fiako, Thamer. Uhincmuri, Waipa and Wuikato. Farmers, dealers, etc., in thess districts should therefore make themselves conversant with boundaries specified tne conditions governing the removal cl" young cattle therefrom, ana the provision bs to tnc vaccination oi cattl'. Another addition to 11)3 regulations provides ihst, subject to certain specified conditions, young cattle ir.tsnded lor immediate slaughter at a public abattoir or meat export works may be removed from an altVcted area without being vaccinated.
