G'Jtii COMPANY SENIOR CADETS. ANNUAL SHOOTING CONTEST In connection with tli* annual shooting competition for tho cup presented by Lady Godley to the 09th Company Senior Cadets, Staff-Sergt.-Major Lowe organised a series of very interesting shooting competitions under service conditions, viz., 10 shots, 4 seconds per shot, snap shooting. This took place last Saturday week. Considerable interest is taken in the local Cadets, and no less than twenty-one gold and silver medals and other trophies were donated for competition. All events were keenly contested, and some good scores were made. Tho results are as under : Cup and gold medal, Private S. Kemp; 2nd prize, recruits medal, Private A. Burton; ord, gold medal, Company-Sergt.-Major Short; J t'u, Private J. Walker; sth, Sergt. S. Tithers; 6th, Piivate J. Gardiner, senr. ; 7th, Corpora' Bickeil; Bill, Private Thorburn ; 9th, Private A. W. Burnand ; 10th, Piivate Hart; lltli, Private C. Bowler, 12th, Private L. Clarke; 13th, Private Speechley; 14th, Private A.Whitford; loth, Private Andrews, lt>th, Private Gljnu; 17th, Private A. Clarkson ; 18th, Private T. Clarke ; 19th, Private (Jr. Eowe ; 20 th, Bergt. Fugal; 21st, Private M. Burgess. Gieat credit is due to Sergt.Major Lowe for his untiring energy in making tho competition such a great success. Tho trophies were presented last Monday evening, when there were 70 cadets on parade.
