Watch for C A Kidd's exhibits of Treloar Milking Machines and of Ratjen'a Cow-Lie, etc., at the Pukekohe Show* At the annual conference of the Newspaper Proprietors' Association, which opened yesterday at Kotorua, the President, Mr P Selig, in his address, referred to difficulties being met with in connection with supplies of paper, and emphasised the seriousness of the position. He pointed out that many offices were short of supplies of pape', and that the position was getting more acute daily.—As mentioned elsewhere, owing to the failure of our contractors to tulhl their agreement for supplying us with paper the "Pukekohe and Waiuku Times" will as from Tuesiay rext be only published on Tuesdays and Fridays (instead of as now on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays), pending the reviyal of, normal shipping ar rangemente, whereby the arrival of regular consignments of paper can be relied upon. The course referred to is taken by the management in order that the stock ot paper at present in hand should be preserved as long as possible rather than an emergency should arise through supplies being completely exhausted
