The weather was idoal; and the fact that over 180 children and friends who availed themselves of the outing accomplished the journey without hitch or accident reflects great credit upon the Sunday School Teachers, who had the management of the all'air. Special carriages were reserved by the railway authorities and the conduct of the scholars on both train aud boat was excellent. On arrival at the beach about 'J.3O a tu. it was found that a number of the senior boys, who had caught an earlier boat, wero already disporting themselves in the water. It was uet long however, before thoy were juined by a swarm of their younger companions, and the shouting and laughter that followed were evidence of tlioir extreme delight aud enjoyment.

At 11 o'clock tea was dispensed to all present, after which the whole party made a bee line for the northern end of the beach where a motor launch was in waiting Laving been chartered by the Committee for the purpose of taking the children and friends for a trip up the harbour. This added greatly to tho pleasure of the day. The sea being calm a largo number of the adult visitors indulged in swimming and surf bathing. At 3 p.m. the party again rolled up around the tea urn, where afternoon tea was handed out. Liberal donations of fruit and cake which hai been given for tho day were distributed, to the evident delight of the children.
