LADY LIVERPOOL LEAGUE.

Pukekohe District.

At a meeting of the Pukekohe branch of the Lady Liverpool League held on Wednesday, January 11th, there were present:—Mesdames Baxter, O'Connor, Mcßae, and Misses Usher and Webster. Letters or thanks were read from the Secretary of the Auckland League for parcel of knitted comforts and donation to sock fund, also lor Chriptma3 pudding?, and requesting a continuance of help in every movement intended to provide comfort and pleasure for the soldiers.

A request trom the Aucklard League was read asking assistance in the supplying of hussifs for the soldiers as they leave for the front. A sample hussif was handed round and it was agreed to make 50 per month for 5 months and to supply the fillings It was agreed to order a Bupply ol wool to the value of £4 Is 6d, and accounts for £1 9s ifd were passed for payment. The number of knitted articles received last month was considerably less than usual, due no doubt to the holidays, but it is hoped that the work will now continue as formerly, as the need is as urgent as ever.

Workers of Balaclavas—Miss Usher, three; Mrs Hooey, Miss Lauer, Mrs Hughes, two each; Chrissie Home, Nellie Lauer, Mrs Perkins, Mrs Maxwell, Mrs Woollat, Mrs Papesch, one each. Scarves —Mrs Stuart, Miss Barber, Miss Cave, Mrs McKinney, Cyril Maxwell, one each. Socks-Miss Galloway, Mrs Craig, senr., two pairs each. Mrs J. Duncan, Mrs Baxter, Mrs Perkins, Mra Danell, one pair each. Wristlets —Mrs Cowporth waite, three pairs.
