Heavy draughts brought frcm £24 to £3B; medium draughts, £22 to £36; creameiy cart classes, £l4 to £l3 10s; jjlough horses, £l6 5b to £23; buggy Horses and good hacks, £l2 15s to £25; light harness sorts, £9 to £l7; gig nonus and ordinary hack?, £3 10s to £l4; weeds, 10s upwards; unbroken, medium to heavy, three year olds, £l4 to £27; light, £4 10s to £l2; weedy yearlings to two year olde, £1 to £3 5s At our weekly Westfield fat Etock marnct on Wednesday we penned beef to the number of 504 head, comprising 292 steers, 206 cows and heifers and 6 bulls. There waa only a moderate demand, and ail classes were lower. Choice ox to £2 2s, prime £'. 18s 6d to £2 Ob 6d, ordinary £1 15a to £1 17s; cow and heifer beef, £1 13b to £1 lbs per 1001b. Steers ranged in pries from £lO to £lB 10s; cows and heifers, £5 17* 6d to £l4. There was again a heavy yarding of sheep. Tbe quality, on the whole, was nut up to the standard. There was a steady demand throughout, with values on a par with last repoit. A large entry of lambs met with a spirited sale. Best heavy, £1 4s to £1 7s, good £1 to £1 3h, lighter 17s to 19s 9d, small ar.d unfinished 13s 9d to 16s 6d—--710 sild. Fat and young calves were penned in lesser numbers. Trices were slightly in advance of last week's values. No heavy runners yarded. Light runners up to £5; heavy tuckers £3 15s to £4 Bs, medium £2 12s to £3 10a, light £2 to £2 10s, small and fresh dropped 3s to £1 165.-85 yarded. Tigs were penned in average nummbers, all classes being represented. Competition was very slack, and prices were lower than for some time.
