Cr Patterson protested in view of the tact that the "outside" district contributed nothing to the Brigade's equipment. Cr Hubbard wa» rebuked by tbe Mayor lor exclaiming that opposition from Cr PatUrson was always to be expected. A suggestion from Cr Roadley that owners in the ' outside" area should be charged for the Brigade's attendance at fires met with general approval and was unanimously adopted, the Mayor withdrawing his resolution in its favour. It was also agreed that the Brigade should submit terms of an arrangement they thought could be made with some motor car proprietor for cor.veyiug them and the hose reel to the scene of tires.
