The Coming Show. A meeting of the General Committee of the Franklin A and ' F Society was held in the Society's office on the old Showground on Monday everting, the members present being Messrs D K Hamilton, president, J H Craig, Dynes Fulton, M Ballard, A P Daysh, J Kennelly, J Massey, H Webb, F Hubbard, J Wylie, C K Lawrie and K Bilkey, and the secretary, Mr J M Baxter
KEMOVAL OF BUtLDINGS Communication relative to the removal of buildings from the old to the new Showground was received from the Fukekohe Borough Council, who stipulated that the following conditions should be adhered to, viz, that the removal over the Borough roads should be carried out at the Society's cost under trie supervision of the Borough foreman, sledges not to be used and the Society to make good any damage caused to the roads—The president stated that arrangements bad been made to remove the building in two section, on wheels
VISIfOKS AT THE SHOW Letters thanking the Society for invitations to be present at the Show were received from the Minister of Agriculture, Hon W D S Mac Donald, the Minister cf Finance, Sir J G Ward, and the Minister of Defence, Hon James All-n, stating that they were unable to give definite answer as to the probability ot their attendance?, but would advise the Society later MISCELLANEOUS
Mr Primrose McConnell, Director of the Dilwurth Ulster Institute, wrote stating that be was in communication with the Head Office re an exhibition tor the Show, and would advise tbe Society later Mr Lauer was appointed gate steward
After a lengthy discussion on the question of the best means of controlling the traffic on Show Days, the president, secretary and Mr Hubl-ard were instructed to carry the matter through The president and secretary were appointed to make prevision for a supply of hot water on the ground on the Show Days, and, further, to arrange for the removal ot the recretary's'olhce from the old to Ihe new Showground It aas agreed that the General Committee should meet on the ground on the 24th inst to deal witn the question of seating accommodation and other urgent matters.
On the motion of Mr Fulion it was decided to aek the Rev ¥ B Dobson, the Society's auditor who has removed to Paeioa, to continue in that capacity uutil the end of December
Ihe president reported that plans had been drawn up for a building 25 feet by 100 fe:t, to cost £2OO, and a start would be made to erect it forthwith CONDOLENCE Votes of condolenc3 were carried with tha relatives of the late Mr Catheiit and the late Mr W V Buckland
