In a liotcl lounge one day a man attacked the Fenians and Homo Rule bitterly, and lie wound up by shouting: "Show me an Irishman, am" I'll shew you a coward!' While the crowd was anplaudMis 1 this sentiment O'Donovan Rossa go! up slowly from his rocking-chair and walked up to the speaker. "What did you say, friend?' 1 he asked. The orator started, he hit hi" !ip then he repeated in low, tremulou-; tones: "I said show me an Irishman, and I'll show you a coward." "I'm an Irishman:" shouted O'Donnovan ttossa fiercely "And I'm a coward!" s:i'!' 'he other man. and he turned nm! (lushed out of the door.
