VERY "FLY".
Mr. W. W. Jacobs. the famous humorist, relate the following story, tor tli" truth of which ho vouches. Ho was looking in the window of a butcher's shop <Jne .day when the butcher came out and said to an old man: " Henry, I want you." ••What do you want!-" asked the other. " Wliv." answered tin butcher, " I'l! give you a chilling ii you'!! kill all the flies in my fcliop." "Right!" exclaimed the o'd mall. •But give me the shilling tir-t." The delighted butcher, hoping to rid hi-; shop of the summer pivts. cheerfully handed over the coin. Then tlm old man asked for a stick about a yaru long. This, too, the butcher gave him The old follow gripped it firmly and went t« the door with a look oi gri>r determination on his face. " Now, ihen." he snid, " turn V a out oi'.v at a time !"
