WEDDING.
Douglas—Woods. I An event of considerable interest I took place at the residence of Mr ihomas Woods, ot Pukekobe, on Wednesday of last week, when bis daughter, Miss Florence Woods, was united in the happv bonds of matrimony to Mr Andrew Douglas. The day was bright and warm, and an unusual feature cf the ceremony was that it was conducted in the open air, amidst the perfume cf flowers and accompanied by the songs ot birds. The officiating clergyman was the Kev. S. Nixon. The biide, who looked charming in a dress of white voile with silk j insertion, wore the traditional veil and wreath of orange blossomß She carried a beautiful bouquet of white sweet peas and asparagus fern. The tister of the bride, Miss Doris Woods, who was dressed in cream, fulfilled the duties of bridesmaid, while Mr John Douglas, the bridegroom's brother, acted as best man. The wedding presents, which included several cheques, were numerous and costly.
