At Messrs Yoland and Gray's residence on Monday .opportunity was taken by the residents to bid au revoir to Messrs Gray Bros and Markhsm, who were on linal leave before proceeding to the front. A social evening was spent by the assemblage which numbered about 60 persons, soogs and dancing being the chief form of entertainment When daylight broke on Tuesday morniog some of the younger folk were wending their way bumeward tired but thoroughly happy. Harvesting operations have commenced in earnest, and on every other farm crops worthy of a good district are being gathered in. Some stacks are already completed and promis3 to cut into very heavy and profitable chaff.
