The Pukekoho Borough Council hereby gives public notice of its intention to raise a loan pursuant lo the above-mentioned Act and its amendments. (1) The loan is required for the purpose of grading, forming, metalling and paving roads and streets, together with clerical, advertising, engineering and other expenses incidental thereto as follows: Main Eoads, including £ West, Puni, Tuakau, Manukau, Seddon, Queen, East and Harris Streets .. 13,248 Secondary Roads, including Hickey's, Beatty's, Paerata, Helvetia, Victoria, Cape Hill, Barter'B Hill extension and Pot f er'a Eoads 3,360 Unformed Eoads, including Dynes', Beresford, Nelsen, Morrow's, McKinney's, Hill Top, Quarry, McNally's, McGuire's, Kaye's, Helvetia to Beatty'p, Eoose-Beynolds', Bailway Station to Borough Boundary, Lovett's, Fraser's to Beresford Street, Cemetery to Howe's, Moses Eoutley to Wilkinson's .. 12,180 Residential Strhets, including Tobin, Albert, Edinburgh- St. North and South, Hall, Harrington Avenue, Franklin Eoad, Boulston's Avenue, Prospect Terrace, Nursing Home Eoad .. .. 5,022 Footpaths Tarring and sanding ~ 470 Kino Street .. 2,500 Contingencies .. 3,220 £40,000
(2) The sum proposed to be borrowed is £40,000. (3) The proposed security for the loan is a special rate of 2d in the Pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Pukekohe and beirg an annual recurriDg rate for a period of ten years or until such time as the loan shall be repaid. The whole loan is to be repayable within a period of 10 years from the raising of the loan. (4) It is proposed to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the loan and the interest and sinking fund for the first year. J. F. DEANE, Town Clerk.
Pursuant to section 10 of The Local Bodies Loans Act 1913 I give public notice that separate polls of ratepayers upon each of the above proposals to raise loans will be taken at the Borough Council Office, Edinburgh Street, Pukekohe, on Thursday 13th January, 1916, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. H. G. E. MASON, Mayor. SPECIAL NOTE. The Borough Council undertakes to enter into a binding agreement with the Franklin County Council not to collect any rates in respect of the above Loans from the portion of the Borough whicn will shortly be included in the County.
